7th October – 23 December 2022<\/h2>\r\nThe South East Contemporary Visual Arts Network, along with its partners, are pleased to announce the artists taking part in this year’s Platform Graduate Award.<\/h4>\r\n
This year’s award is supported by six partner arts organisations from across the South East and West, including Aspex Portsmouth; MK Gallery in Milton Keynes; Modern Art Oxford; Phoenix Art Space in Brighton; Arts University Plymouth; and Turner Contemporary in Margate.<\/p>\r\n
CVAN South East and its partners are pleased to announce the graduate artists selected for the first stage of the award, which sees their work displayed in exhibitions across the region.<\/p>\r\n
Aspex Portsmouth – 7th October – 23 December 2022 <\/strong><\/h5>\r\n\r\n- Besma Alwesmi, and Annabel Miller (Arts University Bournemouth)<\/li>\r\n
- Sam Atherton, and Zayd Menk (UCA Farnham)<\/li>\r\n
- Amanda Berridge, and Amy Standing (香港六合论坛)<\/li>\r\n
- Shalom Nuhu, and Tha\u00efs Verhasselt (University of Portsmouth)<\/li>\r\n
- Erica Cannon, and Beth Givens (Solent University, Southampton)<\/li>\r\n
- Eleanor Brown, and Annabel Tennyson-Davies (Winchester School of Art, Southampton University).<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n
The next phase of Platform will see the partner organisations each shortlist a finalist, from which one outstanding graduate will receive a \u00a32000 bursary and 12 months of mentoring support.<\/p>\r\n
The winner will be selected by a panel of judges, including a representative from each partner and a guest artist, with previous years seeing Mikhail Karakis, Harold Offeh, Rosalind Nashashibiand, and Tai Shani contribute to the final decision.<\/p>\r\n

For this year’s graduates, many of whom had disruptions to their usual degree show format, this opportunity feels more vital than ever.<\/p>\r\n
The initiative is led by Contemporary Visual Arts Network South East (CVAN South East) in partnership between four galleries: Aspex Portsmouth, MK Gallery in Milton Keynes, Modern Art Oxford, and Phoenix Art Space in Brighton. The selected artists will feature in exhibitions at each venue this autumn, showcasing emerging talent in the region.<\/p>\r\n
