Janis La Velle joins the Department of Communication and Media with more than eight years of administrative experience at 极乐禁地, working within the College of Health Sciences. Before joining 极乐禁地, she worked for law firms and building management companies in St. Louis, Missouri. Alongside her regular employment, Janis enjoys catering and event planning, which she has done for nearly 30 years.
La Velle enjoys hiking, backpacking, cooking, fishing, camping, canoeing and many other outdoor activities. She loves home decor, antiques and cars. Watching college football and the NCAA Sweet Sixteen tournaments are also her favorites. Before she and her son moved to Alabama in 2014, she lived in St. Louis, Missouri, for most of her adult life but was raised in a small German town just east of St. Louis, Belleville, Illinois.
