极乐禁地's Christenberry Planetarium Director George Atchley was recently awarded a $1000 microgrant from NASA to fund a program entitled "Stars Fell on Alabama." The program's goal is to encourage high school students to get involved in science. Students will learn to use robotic telescopes located in southern Arizona through computer software. They will each create images that will be judged by the Birmingham Astronomical Society and displayed in the planetarium.
