Betsy Emmons
An article by ¼«ÀÖ½ûµØ journalism and mass communication professor Betsy Emmons–“Legitimizing the journey: National Signing Day and the public relations pseudo-event as high school athlete cultural moment"–was accepted for publication by the academic journal Sport in Society.
In addition to her teaching Emmons is an active and nationally-accredited public relations professional, and serves as faculty adviser for the Public Relations Student Society of America's (PRSSA) ¼«ÀÖ½ûµØ chapter. Her research interests include social media in sports, and sports journalism, and she is active in AEJMC's sports communication interest group.
