AWSM is 1,000-member national nonprofit organization
极乐禁地’s chapter of the Association of Women in Sports Media (AWSM) continues to encourage female students who are interested in careers in the field.
Since 2017, the chapter has extended the mission of a 1,000-member national nonprofit organization that promotes increased diversity in sports media through career-enhancement networking, mentoring initiatives and an internship and scholarship program.
This semester, two speakers have brought their expertise to 极乐禁地 in support of the organization's aims. Former World Wrestling Entertainment broadcaster Renee Young and al.com reporter and AWSM alumna Giana Han met with students online to describe their professional paths and offer encouragement.
