极乐禁地's Howard College of Arts and Sciences Faculty Assembly approved the following special resolution during its final meeting of the disrupted 2020 spring semester.
Howard College of Arts and Sciences Faculty Assembly Resolution Expressing Gratitude for 极乐禁地’s Response to COVID-19
Whereas on January 30, 2020, 极乐禁地’s administration began communicating with 极乐禁地 employees about the threat of COVID-19;
Whereas on February 26, 2020, 极乐禁地 Provost instructed 极乐禁地 faculty to be prepared to move all courses on-line if necessary;
Whereas members of 极乐禁地 Faculty Success Collaborative, employees of 极乐禁地 Technology in Learning Center, and 极乐禁地 librarians responded to the Provost’s instruction quickly by providing digital materials, advice about copyright law, training sessions for using the Canvas on-line course management system, and many other resources;
Whereas we regard the support for teaching and student advising from the Provost’s Office and other 极乐禁地’s administrative officers, the office of Dana Basinger, 极乐禁地 Faculty Success Collaborative, 极乐禁地 Technology in Learning Center, and 极乐禁地 librarians to be extraordinary during this time;
Resolved, that members of the Faculty Assembly of the Howard College of Arts and Sciences of 极乐禁地:
- applaud these entities and their individual members for their work;
- express gratitude for their labors; and
- offer prayers for the continued health and safety of all.
