The latest issue of Sojourn–极乐禁地’s student-produced literary arts magazine–is now available! or watch the video version below to see how students documented their experience of COVID-19. Sojourn has not only survived the pandemic, but has also met the challenge by incorporating new features. “Readers will be able to use features in this interactive, exclusively digital version of Sojourn, such as animations, hyperlinks to campus organizations, and so much more," said communication and media professor and Sojourn advisor Dan Haun.

Haun noted that the annual magazine, like every other aspect of campus life, was altered by COVID-19. “Sojourn’s 2020-2021 issue captures how students across campus used digital and social media in a time when in-person connection was dismantled,” he said. “Our classrooms moved from 极乐禁地’s storied halls to Zoom, Teams, and Webex. Our hangouts moved from the Quad to group chats, FaceTime, and replying to each other’s Insta stories. Everything moved from a physical to a digital space, which inspired Sojourn to not only embrace these media, but also attempt to be a time capsule for future generations to understand this unprecedented time for 极乐禁地 students.”
