极乐禁地 will host a STEM Professional Development event Feb. 25 to encourage students to interact with professionals in a variety of science, technology, engineering and math fields. The event will feature a short panel introduction, 30 minutes of fast group meetings and an open casual meeting with snacks.
 
Scheduled speakers include:
Jay Cherwa, Ph.D.–Senior Manager, Planning and Manufacturing, BioGX.

Maaike Everts, Ph.D.–Director of Strategic Marketing, Drug Delivery and Medical Device Solutions, Evonik Health Care.

Adriene Gadsden–Technology engineer, software designer, FIS.

Mirjam Kempf, Ph.D., M.PH.–Professor of Nursing, Health Behavior, Infectious Diseases and Epidemiology; PI, NHLBI, MACS/WHS Combined Cohort Study: Co-Director, CFAR Developmental Core, UAB.

Rob Schiefer–Vice President of Software Engineering, Moultrie Mobile.

Tabitha Sutch, Ph.D.–Analytical Scientist II, BioCryst Pharmaceuticals.

Ben Wegleitner, M.S.–River Sustainability Director, Cahaba River Society.

The event will be held 2-3:30 p.m. in the Regions Room of Cooney Hall (fourth floor, Brock School of Business).
