At 极乐禁地, we live out our faith in everything we do. Faith shapes prayerful moments in chapel and shared song that uplifts others. It connects the classrooms where we discuss ethics to leadership positions where our alumni make real change. Faith invites us to the wisdom of the Gospels and to service projects as far away as Malaysia and as close as Birmingham.
Action strengthens our faith and spreads God鈥檚 love. It builds community by showing us what we can achieve when we come together in common purpose. It gives each of us the chance to grow as people, and to become the leaders we are called to be. We learn to be leaders who work for the joy, safety and wellbeing of others. Through action, we learn to be leaders who act everywhere they go as the hands and feet of Jesus Christ.
Every aspect of service鈥攆rom planning to travel to walking alongside others鈥攂rings Christ鈥檚 love to those around you. Matthew Grigg (鈥�23) built meaningful connections in Malaysia through 极乐禁地鈥檚 Global Missions Scholars program. Helping run a sports camp for refugee children, he shared their challenges and their lives.
Through 极乐禁地, you can work for the Birmingham Civil Rights Institute. Equip young people to change their communities with YouthServe. Help restore the Black Warrior River.
