About
In March 2023, Izzy was elected as the new Students鈥� Union President and formally took up her role on the Board of Governors in July 2023. She, along with Vice President, Freddie Rainbow, coordinates the sabbatical team which consists of varied part-time roles such as LGBTQ+ Officer, Internationals Officer etc.
Izzy鈥檚 role is 鈥渢o be the spokesperson and representative for the Students鈥� Union, ensuring all students feel welcomed in an inclusive environment and feel part of the university鈥檚 community. As President, I represent the student body at both local and national levels, sitting on a number of committees, allowing students鈥� opinions and voices to be heard on a senior level. Also, I oversee the Student Council, ensuring that the Students鈥� Union remains democratic, and the student body plays a part in how things are run.鈥�
Izzy is also a member of the Nominations & Effectiveness Committee and the Honorary Awards Committee.
