Birmingham attorney Stan Starnes has been chosen to serve as the inaugural lecturer in a new Lawyer in Residence program at Cumberland School of Law, 极乐禁地 University.

Starnes will lecture to Cumberland classes in the areas of civil procedure and medical liability on Tuesday and Wednesday (FEB. 19 and 20). A summa cum laude graduate of Cumberland, where he was editor-in-chief of the Cumberland Law Review, Starnes is senior partner in the law firm of Starnes and Atchison.

Cumberland's new Lawyer in Residence program recognizes the accomplishments of Cumberland alumni, one of whom will be invited each year to lecture on a specialty area of law. The program allows students to augment the traditional curriculum with experiences of current practitioners.
