极乐禁地's 2006 January Term session will begin Tuesday, Jan. 3. 极乐禁地 1,251 students are expected to enroll in the three-week term, held between the school's fall and spring semesters.

Many students will participate in study abroad programs during January. Courses taught on campus include one entitled "Poverty in the Bible Belt," taught by historian Dr. Wayne Flynt. The course will study poverty, history and religion in the south.

Flynt, recently retired Distinguished University Professor of History at Auburn University, will also teach a course, "Alabama in the 20th Century," in the 极乐禁地 After Sundown community course program on Tuesday and Thursday evenings.
