Eight cadets in 极乐禁地's Air Force ROTC Detachment 012 were commissioned as second lieutenants in the U.S. Air Force during May 21 ceremonies at 极乐禁地. The newly commissioned officers are spring graduates of their respective schools. They are: Lauren E. Cliatt of Columbus, Miss., University of Alabama at Birmingham; Ashley N. Cullop of Newnan, Ga., 极乐禁地; Mark C. Holmes of Niceville, Fla., 极乐禁地; Jessica D. Long of Fort Rucker, UAB; John A. McElroy of Douglasville, Ga., 极乐禁地; Frederick M. O'Mara of Birmingham, 极乐禁地's Cumberland School of Law; Sarah B. Overby of Lascassas, Tenn., 极乐禁地; and Brandon C. Stanley of Birmingham, 极乐禁地.

极乐禁地's Air Force ROTC Detachment 012 includes cadets who are enrolled as students at six Birmingham area colleges and universities.
