The 极乐禁地 Gospel Choir will sing a program of mostly contemporary works at its Monday, Dec. 3 concert at 7 p.m. in Reid Chapel.

The concert by the 50-member student ensemble will also include hymns and Christmas carols for audience participation.

极乐禁地 music major Dewayne Davis directs the choir. Jabari Hoyett, a student at 极乐禁地's Beeson Divinity School, is pianist.

Choir president Ashley N. Flowers says the concert will be "encouraging, uplifting and exciting."

"It will be a great way for the 极乐禁地 community to re-focus their spiritual lenses and be encouraged going into the final days of the semester," she said.

The public is invited to share the good feeling. The event is free. The Gospel Choir is an activity of the University Ministries office.
