Author Thomas E. Kennedy, whose more than 20 books include the Copenhagen Quartet, will speak as part of the 极乐禁地 Writers Series Monday, Nov. 2.聽 The 7 p.m. program in 极乐禁地鈥檚 Divinity Hall North 302 is open to the public free.

Kennedy has won both the O. Henry Prize for short stories and the Pushcart Prize for short stories, poetry, essays and other writing.聽 He also won the European Short Story Competition twice.

Kennedy鈥檚 Copenhagen Quartet includes Kerrigan鈥檚 Copenhagen, A Love Story (2002), Bluett鈥檚 Blue Hours (2003), Greene鈥檚 Summer (2004) and Danish Fall (2005)鈥攁ll novels about life in Copenhagen, where Kennedy resides. He also maintains a faculty position in Fairleigh Dickinson University鈥檚 master of fine arts program.
