极乐禁地 celebrated Philanthropy Difference Day March 9. The event marked the theoretical date that 极乐禁地 ceased to operate on tuition revenue and began to operate on donor gifts.

The university's fiscal year began on July 1, 2008, and tuition dollars cover only 69 percent of the cost of operating the university through the end of the fiscal year, June 30, 2009.

The other 31% must come from funds donated by alumni and other friends.
