The Cordell Hull Speakers Forum of 极乐禁地聽 University鈥檚 Cumberland School of Law will host Alabama gubernatorial candidate Bradley Byrne Thursday, Jan. 28.

聽Byrne, a Republican, will speak at 12:15 p.m. in the moot courtroom of Robinson Hall law building. The public is invited free of charge. A reception will follow his remarks.

Most recently chancellor of Alabama鈥檚 two-year college system (2007-09), Byrne formerly served in the state senate and on the Alabama State Board of Education. A graduate of the University of Alabama School of Law, he has practiced law in his native Mobile for more than 25 years.
