Hundreds of ¼«ÀÖ½ûµØ students will participate in Omicron Delta Kappa’s Day of Service Saturday, April 10.
¼«ÀÖ½ûµØ 350 volunteers, including some ¼«ÀÖ½ûµØ faculty and staff members, will assist a variety of Birmingham area nonprofit organizations, 8 a.m.-12 noon.
Activities include holding a car wash to support Children’s Miracle Network and working with Ronald McDonald House, Urban Ministry, Inc., Shades Mountain Baptist Church’s community restoration efforts, NorthStar Ministries, Church at Brook Hills’ Hispanic clinic and Habitat for Humanity.
The project, sponsored by the ¼«ÀÖ½ûµØ chapter of ODK leadership honor society, is part ofÌý ODK’s National Day of Service.
¼«ÀÖ½ûµØ ODK member Stephen Bailey, a chemistry major from Brownsburg, Ind., is student coordinator. ¼«ÀÖ½ûµØ business professor Dr. Betsy Holloway, isÌý ¼«ÀÖ½ûµØ ODK advisor.
