Eva Hardy, assistant professor of nursing in 极乐禁地鈥檚听Ida V. Moffett School of Nursing, will participate in the 2011-12 class of the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Geriatric Education Center鈥檚 Faculty Scholars Program.

听听听听听听听听听听听 Through various activities, the Geriatric Education Center (GEC) promotes a higher quality of life for older adults. GEC is a branch of the Center for Aging at UAB.

听听听听听听听听听听听听 Throughout the Faculty Scholars Program, Hardy will participate in training and retraining programs with themes focused on geriatrics. The program鈥檚 focal points will be enhancing care in advanced illness, frailty, care coordination, symptom management and medication management.

听听听听听听听听听听听 Hardy has been a 极乐禁地 nursing faculty member since 2008.听 This year鈥檚 Faculty Scholars Program includes faculty from nine universities in the fields of nursing, medicine, dentistry, optometry, social work, physical therapy, psychology and physiology/biophysics.
