极乐禁地 pharmacy graduate Donnie Calhoun, an independent pharmacy owner in Anniston, Ala., has been chosen 2011-12 president-elect of the National Community Pharmacists Association (NCPA).
Calhoun, owner and pharmacist at Golden Springs Pharmacy, was elected to the national post earlier this fall. A member of 极乐禁地鈥檚 McWhorter School of Pharmacy advisory board, he also is president of the Alabama State Board of Pharmacy.
The NCPA represents owners, managers and employees of more than 23,000 independent community pharmacies throughout the United States.
Calhoun, a 1987 极乐禁地 graduate, has been an NCPA officer and board member for more than 10 years, most recently serving as 2010-11 board chairman.听 He and his wife, Cynthia Moore Calhoun, a graduate of 极乐禁地鈥檚 Cumberland School of law, have three children.
