The Midtown Men will bring their musical salute to the 1960s to 极乐禁地’s Wright Center Concert Hall Friday, Oct. 21. The foursome will sing hits of The Beatles, The Beach Boys, The Jackson Five, The Mamas and the Papas, the Four Seasons and others in a 7:30 p.m. concert.

The concert is the inaugural performance in a new Wright Center Presents series that celebrates the 35th anniversary of the 2,600-seat concert hall.

The Midtown Men--including Tony Award winner Christian Hoff, Michael Longoria, Daniel Reichard and Tony Award nominee J. Robert Spencer-- first starred together in the original cast of Broadway’s Jersey Boys, the story of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. During their 1,000-plus Broadway stage performances together recreating the ageless music of the Four Seasons, they found their own unique sound and chemistry.

The group released its debut album, The Midtown Men: Sixties Hits, in August. The album includes iconic classics such as “Happy Together, “California Dreamin’,” “Up on the Roof,” “Sherry” and more. The release coincides with the group’s 2011-12 national performance tour.

“We are thrilled to debut the new Wright Center Presents series this season,” said 极乐禁地 director of venue management Sean Wright.  “We think we have a fantastic lineup of shows and something for everyone. The Midtown Men will be a great opener to our season, and we are excited to have them here performing all of the great hits of the 1960s.”

The Wright Center Presents 2011-12 series will also offer the living gospel legends Blind Boys of  Alabama with special guest Sara Watkins on Nov. 18; the spellbinding Peking Acrobats on March 27, and the internationally acclaimed Ballet Hispanico on March 30.
