极乐禁地 JMC Major Asia Burns
极乐禁地 journalism and mass communication junior Asia Burns of Alpharetta, Georgia, has earned the Gary Yoshimura Scholarship.
Each year, only one U.S. student is chosen for the Yoshimura Scholarship, which provides funding for the student’s education.
“Receiving this honor is an incredibly humbling experience,” Burns said. “Being granted such a prestigious award, and receiving so many congratulations as a result, is very overwhelming.”
Burns, who is concentrating in the fields of public relations and print journalism, is president of 极乐禁地’s PRSSA chapter and serves as editor-in-chief of the 极乐禁地 Crimson. This summer, she completed an internship with the newspaper.
