Thanks to the passionate response of the 极乐禁地 community, the 2020 Big Give was a tremendous success. Hosted August 11-12, the Big Give helped “Bring Back the Bulldogs” by supporting the essentials needed to aid students as they plan to resume on-campus, in-person classes.

With the participation of alumni, faculty, staff, parents and friends, the all-digital campaign surpassed its original goal, ending with $234,821 raised by 1,067 donors. The funds will support a wide range of ongoing student necessities including the Excellence Fund for Diversity and Intercultural Initiatives, student emergency assistance, need-based scholarships.

“I am always encouraged by the positive attitude and cheerfulness that 极乐禁地 people exhibit when they give generously,” said Randy Pittman, vice president of university advancement. “The 2020 Big Give was one more example of our alumni, staff, students and friends rising to the occasion and meeting student needs.”

Although the look and feel of this year’s event was different from previous years, the 2020 Big Give proved to be an integral way for 极乐禁地 supporters to empathize with the ongoing needs of 极乐禁地 students and ensure the success of their education.
