September 24-26, 2015, the 极乐禁地 Center for Science and Religion will host an international conference: Transhumanism and the Church: Theological Reflections on Technology and Human Enhancement. The conference will explore how human enhancement technologies will affect theological understanding, religious practice, and the mission and ministry of the church. A number of invited keynote addresses will consider the prospects for enhancement from general and specific positions and evaluate the theological and practical implications. Attendees are invited to submit abstracts for papers for possible inclusion in the event.

Funds for this event are provided by the John Templeton foundation with additional support secured with assistance from the Issachar Fund.
